Why Squishy Toys Are Not Just for Kids: A Guide for Adult Collectors and Stress Relief

Quick Answer

Squishy toys are absolutely not just for kids. Adults use them for stress relief, as desk companions, and as collectibles. TabaSquishy offers a range of options—from blind bags to DIY kits—that appeal to grown-up tastes and needs.

Walk into any toy aisle and you'll see squishies marketed to children. But adults are increasingly discovering the appeal of these soft, squeezable toys. Whether it's for stress relief during a long workday or the joy of building a collection, squishies offer more than childish fun.

TabaSquishy has become a favorite among adult collectors and stress-relief seekers. With a variety of finishes, sizes, and even DIY kits, there's something for every grown-up preference. Let's bust the myth that squishies are only for kids and explore why they deserve a spot on your desk or shelf.

The Adult Appeal of Squishy Toys

Squishy toys are often pigeonholed as children's playthings, but their benefits extend well into adulthood. The act of squeezing a soft, slow-rebounding object can be a calming sensory experience, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. For adults who spend hours at a desk, a squishy can serve as a discreet fidget tool that keeps hands busy and minds focused.

Beyond stress relief, squishies have become collectible items. Limited-edition collections, blind bags, and themed sets appeal to the collector's mindset. TabaSquishy's diverse range—from food-grade silicone squishies to DIY mold sets—offers variety that keeps adult collectors engaged and excited.

• Keep a squishy on your desk for quick stress-relief breaks.
• Explore blind bags for a fun surprise element in your collection.
• Try DIY kits to customize your own squishy and add a personal touch.

For adults who enjoy crafting, TabaSquishy DIY mold sets provide a therapeutic activity. Mixing and pouring the material can help reduce stress, and the satisfaction of creating your own squishy adds a personal achievement. These kits are also certified safe, meeting CPC, CE, and UKCA standards, so you can craft with peace of mind.

• Choose a flocked finish for a soft, fuzzy texture that's pleasant to touch.

• DIY kits are great for a mindful, hands-on hobby.

Building a Squishy Collection as an Adult

Collecting squishies is a hobby that transcends age. The thrill of unboxing a blind bag, the joy of finding a rare design, and the satisfaction of displaying a curated collection are experiences that appeal to adults as much as kids. TabaSquishy's blind bag collections, like the Cozy Cuddle Blind Bag, offer surprise and delight.

For those who prefer a more deliberate approach, themed collections—such as the Flocked Squishy Collection or the Purrfect Paws Collection—allow you to curate by color, texture, or theme. Whether you're a completionist or a casual collector, there's a squishy out there for you.

• Start with a theme that resonates with you, like animals or food.
• Mix textures—flocked, crystal, and glitter—for a diverse collection.
• Display your squishies on a shelf or desk to enjoy them daily.
